Operation of Advanced Delivery Groups

Advanced Delivery Groups operate through an intelligent system that fully automates the order assignment process and logistics management. Below is a detailed explanation of how this innovative feature works:

Group Orders:

  1. Determine the status that triggers the logistics process.

  2. Set the maximum number of orders to be grouped. Note that fewer orders can also be grouped.

  3. Define the delivery time between orders. If there are more than two orders, an average time is calculated.

  4. Specify the maximum distance in meters between pickup points. If there are more than two orders, an average distance is calculated.

  5. Specify the maximum distance in meters between delivery points. If there are more than two orders, an average distance is calculated.

  6. Optional: If using Google Maps, integrate to obtain more precise distances and times based on current traffic data, utilizing the Google Maps Route API.

Autoassign Settings:

  1. Choose from pre-configured options to facilitate logistics:

  • One by one: Orders are assigned to one driver at a time. If rejected, they are assigned to the next closest driver.

  • Search to all: A request for acceptance is sent to a maximum number of defined drivers. It searches from radius to radius, not necessarily sending to all simultaneously.

  • Nearest available: Similar to one by one, but with a smaller minimum radius that expands to a lesser extent.

  • Batch-wise: A maximum of 2 drivers are sent a request for acceptance at a time while the radius continues to grow.

  • Round robin: Orders are assigned to one driver at a time. If rejected, they are assigned to another driver, not necessarily the closest one.

  • Custom: Allows for customization with no disabled parameters.

2. Specify whether the system can auto-assign or send the assignment request to any driver outside the coverage area.

3. Set the maximum distance between pickup and delivery points for the order to enter the logistics process.

4. Determine the number of drivers to whom the request will be sent. If the number is 1, no request will be sent, and the order will be assigned directly. If option 5 is enabled, it will be assigned and marked as accepted by the driver.

5. Enable the option to assign and mark the order as accepted by the driver if only one driver is available.

6. Define the initial radius to search for drivers.

7. Specify the rate at which the driver search radius will increase until a driver is found.

8. Set the maximum radius to find a driver. If it reaches this number and no driver is found, the order may be placed in a queue and penalized.

Mark Drivers As Busy:

1. Set the maximum number of orders the driver group can have at a time.

2. Note that if advanced options are set, drivers can work more effectively without interference with their schedules.
