To receive payments using Stripe, you will need to have a Stripe account. Stripe can be set up globally in your OrderingPlus Dashboard settings, which will allow you to receive payments with Stripe across all businesses without needing to configure anything additional for each one.

  1. The first step is to create your Stripe account for your business. You can create your Stripe account here: https://dashboard.stripe.com

    • Important Note: Please don't forget to complete the verification of your Stripe account. You will be asked to confirm your email and provide some required information. This process is necessary in order to use Stripe in live mode and receive real payments.

  2. Once you've created your Stripe account, you need to access the "API Keys" section:

  3. In the Developers section, you will find the API keys section, where you can obtain your "Publishable key" and "Secret key": https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys

    1. You can copy your Publishable Key without any issues, but your Secret Key can only be created and viewed once. For this reason, we recommend copying and saving it in a secure place. (You can create new Secret Keys at any time without any problem.)

  4. Add your keys in your Orderingplus Dashboard under the "Card Payments" section. You can enter your keys for both live mode and sandbox mode (to make test payments without real money).

    • Kindly remember to select the correct currency.

  5. All set! Now, once you activate Stripe payments for your business (for any of your businesses), you’ll be able to offer Stripe as a payment option for your customers' purchases.
