Enable Preorder Feature

This toggle activates the scheduling selector on your website and apps.

  • Yes: Customers will see a time selector (usually labeled as ASAP by default). Clicking this allows them to switch from "As soon as possible" to a specific future date and time.

  • No: Customers can only place orders for immediate preparation and delivery.

Set Maximum Preorder Days

Define how far into the future a customer can schedule an order.

  • Function: Enter a numeric value (e.g., 7) to limit the calendar availability.

  • Example: If set to 7, a customer visiting your site on a Monday can schedule an order for any day up until the following Monday, but no further.

How it looks for the Customer

When this feature is enabled, a scheduling button appears in the header or at the start of the ordering flow

  1. Default State: The button typically shows ASAP, indicating an immediate order.

  2. Interaction: When the customer clicks the button, a calendar and time picker will appear.

  3. Selection: The customer chooses their preferred date and time within the limits you have set, ensuring the business has ample time to prepare.

Tip: If you run a catering business or a bakery that requires advance notice for large orders, we recommend setting the Maximum Preorder Days to at least 14 or 30 to give your customers more flexibility.

Practical Use Cases

  1. Holiday Shopping: During peak seasons like holidays, customers can preorder gifts and schedule deliveries to ensure they arrive on time, reducing last-minute shopping stress.

  2. Event Planning: Customers planning events can schedule orders for supplies and catering services in advance, ensuring everything is delivered when needed.

  3. Regular Deliveries: Businesses that require regular deliveries, such as offices ordering supplies, can use the preorder feature to schedule deliveries at regular intervals, streamlining their procurement process.
