Why aren't my stores showing on my website?

Stores usually appear on every domain you connect. If they seem to be missing, the order type selected on the page - not the domain - is almost always the reason.

If your stores appear on the default OrderingPlus domain but seem to be missing from your own custom domain, the stores are almost always published correctly. Both domains serve the same store data. What changes is the order type the customer has selected.

The /order_types page asks the customer how they want to receive their order. A store is only listed under the order types it actually offers. If your stores only offer Eat In, they will not appear under Delivery or Pickup — which looks identical to "my stores are missing".

Before you start

  • Your stores are enabled and published in your dashboard.

  • You have access to Settings > Order Types Settings.

  • Your custom domain is already connected and loading your site.

Check which order type is hiding your stores

  1. Open your site and go to the order types page.

  2. Select each order type in turn — Delivery, Pickup, Eat In, Curbside, Drive Thru.

  3. Note which ones list your stores and which come up empty.

If your stores appear under at least one order type, nothing is broken. The empty order types are simply ones your stores do not offer yet.

Option 1: Hide the order types you do not use

This is the right fix when your stores genuinely offer only one or two service methods. Leaving unused order types visible sends customers to an empty list.

  1. Go to Settings > Order Types Settings.

  2. Uncheck every order type your stores do not offer.

  3. Set Default Order Type to the one your stores actually use, so it is pre-selected when a customer arrives.

  4. Save and reload your site.

Option 2: Enable the order types your stores do offer

Order types are configured at two levels, and both must be enabled for a store to appear. This is the most common cause of a store showing on one order type but not another.

  1. Platform level — in Settings > Order Types Settings, check the order types you want available across your marketplace.

  2. Store level — open each store's menu configuration and enable the same order types there.

  3. Save and reload your site.

A store that has an order type enabled at the platform level but not at the store level will not be listed under it.

If Pickup is the empty one: check Maximum Pickup Distance

Pickup has an extra rule that produces the same symptom for a different reason. In Settings > Order Types Settings, Maximum Pickup Distance sets how far a customer can be from a business and still see it. Customers located beyond that distance will not see the store at all under Pickup.

If your stores appear under Delivery but not Pickup, and the order type is enabled at both levels, raise this distance or test from a location closer to the store.

When this is not the cause

  • No stores appear under any order type. The issue is with the stores themselves — check that they are enabled and published, not with order types.

  • Your custom domain does not load at all, or shows a certificate warning. That is a DNS configuration issue, not an order type issue.

  • Stores appear for you but not for customers. Check the store's schedule and whether it is currently open.

Related terms

Customers and store owners describe this in different ways: "my stores don't show on my website", "my restaurants are missing on my own domain", "the store list is empty", "only shows on the orderingplus link", "no businesses found". All of these usually come back to which order type is selected and whether that order type is enabled for the store. Order types are also referred to as service methods or delivery options, and Eat In is sometimes called dine-in.
