This section allows you to manage which data fields are visible and required for your customers across different platforms (Website, Kiosk, Apps, and Dashboard). Customizing these ensures you collect only the necessary information, streamlining the user journey.

Configuration Categories

The settings are divided into three main functional areas:

  • Cart and Customer Details: Fields shown when a customer creates an account or during the final checkout process.

  • Address Fields: Fields displayed when a customer adds or edits a delivery address.

  • Card Fields: Fields required when a customer adds a credit or debit card for payment.

How to Configure Fields

For every platform (Website, Apps, etc.), you can toggle two main settings for each field:

  1. Status (Toggle): This determines if the field is visible. If turned off, the customer will not see this field.

  2. Required (Toggle): This determines if the customer must fill out the field to proceed. If active, the system will prevent the user from continuing until the data is entered.

Note for Website Admins: Currently, the "Website" list in Cart and Customer Details may appear shorter than others. Please mirror the settings you choose for the Business App or App Franchises to ensure consistency across your web and mobile experience.

Field Management per Platform

By clicking on a specific platform (e.g., Website, Business App, or Driver App), a sidebar will appear with the following common fields:

Cart and Customer Details

  • Personal Info: Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Second Lastname, Email, and Birthdate.

  • Contact Info: Mobile Phone.

  • Checkout Options: * Coupon: Enable this to allow customers to apply discount codes.

    • Driver Tip: Enable this to show the gratuity field for delivery orders.

    • Comments: Provides a text area for customers to leave special instructions for their order.

    Address Fields

Enable fields like Internal Number, Zipcode, or Address Notes to ensure your drivers have the precise location details needed for successful deliveries.

    Card Fields

Manage the visibility of fields like Cardholder Name or Zipcode validation for payment methods, depending on your payment processor's requirements

Visual Guide: Enabling & Disabling

To modify your platform, follow these steps in the Settings > User Information menu:

  1. Select the Platform: Click on the specific channel you wish to edit (e.g., Website).

  2. Toggle the Status: Use the Status switch to hide or show the field.

  3. Set Requirements: Use the Required switch to make a field mandatory.

Pro Tip: Keep the registration process as short as possible. Only mark fields as Required if they are absolutely necessary for delivery or legal compliance (like birthdate for alcohol sales). Reducing "friction" at checkout leads to higher conversion rates!
